Daniel L. Morris

ATTORNEY, CO-FOUNDER

Daniel has represented injured workers in Texas since 1996. He is fluent in Spanish and has lived in Argentina and Mexico.

He has been involved in the Texas Workers’ Compensation Bar Section since its inception and has served as a workers’ representative for the board. He has lectured numerous time at the Texas Bar Advanced Workers’ Compensation Seminar for over the last ten years and has spoken on subjects from “How to Handle Your First Workers’ Compensation Claim” to the “Legislative Update.”

ATTORNEY, CO-FOUNDER

Matt has represented injured workers pursuing Texas workers’ compensation claims since 1998. Additionally, he helps those that can’t return to work obtain social security disability benefits.

Currently, Matt serves on the board of the State Bar’s Workers’ Compensation Section representing injured workers, and speaks annually at the Bar’s Workers’ Compensation Seminar. He is board certified in Workers’ Compensation Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has been named a Texas Super Lawyer in Texas Monthly Magazine every year since 2012.

Janet Booker

ATTORNEY

Janet Booker was born in London, England. She graduated from Wiley College in Marshall, Texas and received her JD from Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas, Texas.

For over 24 years, Janet has represented injured and disabled people in hearings throughout the state of Texas. She currently handles Social Security disability claims all over the United States. Janet’s hobbies include traveling and bowling. Her passion is working with Echidnas, a social skills group for young adults with autism.

Elijah Montes

ATTORNEY

Elijah Montes earned his Bachelor of Arts in Politics from the University of Dallas in 2019. He graduated from Regent Law School in 2022. In law school he was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution board and President of the Hispanic Law Students Association. He was licensed to practice law in Texas in 2022. After law school, Elijah worked in personal injury and municipal law. While he is not working, Elijah enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with his family.

Layla Benjamin is a native Texan, born and raised in east Dallas. She graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law with a passion to help real people. After graduation she began representing injured individuals with their claims against insurance companies. She’s successfully helped hundreds of people to get the results they deserved.

Layla enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs walking the trails of White Rock Lake and visiting local businesses. There isn’t a place in east Dallas that she’ll walk into without seeing a familiar face. Layla participates in community activities like the neighborhood get-togethers and local elections. She also likes to travel to new places and experience new cultures.

Jameson DeCorey

Raised in Texas and with a degree an associates degree from Collin College, A bachelors degree from University of Texas at Dallas and a Juris Doctorate from University of North Texas Dallas College of Law as one of the first graduating students. Was also the first legally blind student to graduate from the University of Texas Dallas College of Law and also enjoy the hobbies of cooking and photography as my past times. The biggest reason why I do workers’ compensation law is because I know how needed it is to ensure that the workers of Texas are able to get represented in the system to make sure that they know their rights.

Timothy L. Kimble, Esq.

ATTORNEY

Mr. Kimble has been a licensed attorney with the State Bar of Texas since 2021. As an attorney in Texas, he has served as an Associate with Dunham & Jones, P.C. (Dallas, TX) and as a Staff Attorney with Alto-USA (Dallas, TX). Prior to becoming an attorney in the State of Texas, he practiced in Georgia from 2001 to 2020. From 2008 to 2020, he served as an Assistant Public Defender with the Georgia Public Defenders Standard Council for the Cherokee Judicial Circuit, where he handled misdemeanor and complex felony cases in the Superior Courts of Bartow and Gordon Counties. In this capacity, Mr. Kimble represented indigent clients with criminal issues through his counseling, negotiation, and trial/advocacy skills

Before his career shift to criminal law, Mr. Kimble was the founding partner of ESQ. Signature Title, LLC (ESQ). In this role he was responsible for firm operations and strategic partnership/alliances. He ensured all ESQ’s customers, partners and clients received a “best-in-class” customer experience. Mr. Kimble also developed and maintained the firm’s strategic relationships with developers, real estate sales professionals and financial institutions.

Mr. Kimble has served as a member and volunteer with non-profit organizations including: Moving In The Spirit (Youth Dance Organization), The National Black Arts Festival, Big Brothers/Big Sisters (Metro Atlanta, GA and Denton County, TX), The Georgia Legal Services Program and United Way of Metro Atlanta’s Volunteer Improvement Program for Board Training.

Mr. Kimble is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Suffolk University Law School, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and a Juris Doctor degree.

Leonardo Villarreal

ATTORNEY

Leonardo Villarreal Alejandro earned a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT, a masters of engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Puerto Rico. Mr. Villarreal commenced his law practice in Puerto Rico, where he practiced law in both Spanish and English in the areas of intellectual property and business law. Afterwards, Mr. Villarreal worked for almost 8 years at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Office of Enrollment and Discipline, investigating attorney misconduct and assisting in the development of the Patent Bar Exam. Mr. Villarreal worked for various law firms in patent matters prior to joining MLF Legal, where he now works in workers’ compensation cases, patent matters, and intellectual property matters. Mr. Villarreal is currently licensed to practice law in Texas, Virginia, and Puerto Rico. Mr. Villarreal is also registered as a patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
