As the Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, Matt hosted the event in Austin, Texas that was attended by attorneys from all over the state.  The course discussed topics affecting injured firefighters and first-responders in addition to the new changes coming on impairment ratings issued in every claim.  It was clear from the panel of speakers that disputes over brain injuries and mental trauma will be significant headwinds affecting injured workers for the foreseeable future.
